Position Summary: Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Research Coordinator Seagrass Ecology, Harbor Branch Oceanic Institute - Fort Pierce, FL. Summary of Responsibilities: Responsible for the compilation and analysis of environmental data into written reports and publications. Reads scientific literature to increase familiarity with field in order to lead scientific writing and data analyses. Leads a team in the collection of field samples (e.g., seawater, phytoplankton, macroalgae, seagrasses, and fauna for genetic, nutrient, or stable isotope analysis) and data using such instruments as remotely operated vehicles, GoPros, Li-Cor, Hanna, and/or YSI. Coordinates the laboratory processing of water, phytoplankton, macrophytes, and fauna samples. Manages the lab database from data collection to analysis. Oversees the Harbor Branch Seagrass Nursery and macroalgal production facility and coordinates task schedules for technicians, students, and volunteers. Coordinates and leads the field collections, experiments, data management, statistical analyses, and scientific writing of research technicians and graduate students.
