Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Bilingual (Spanish) Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will ensure that all warehousing processes, from inbound and outbound shipping to inventory control and product storage, run efficiently. You will supervise, organize, and train warehouse employees to meet company goals related to customer satisfaction, productivity, and safety. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key warehouse functions such as logistics coordination, quality assurance, staff performance, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Daily Warehouse Operations: Oversee all warehouse activities, including inbound and outbound shipping, inventory management, space allocation, internal logistics, floor productivity, and customer service.
  • Team Leadership & Scheduling: Manage and schedule warehouse staff to maximize efficiency, minimize overtime and ensure optimal workflow. Develop and manage shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Maintain Equipment & Tools: Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, tools, and machinery. Ensure any necessary maintenance or repairs are conducted promptly to prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with departments like customer service, quality control, and traffic to streamline processes and meet shipping requirements.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate product flow from production lines to warehouse and ensure timely shipping.
  • Inventory Control: Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy, reduce slow-moving inventory and optimize warehouse space.
  • Shipping & Documentation: Ensure daily shipping schedules are met, documentation is accurate and prepared according to customer requirements.
  • Safety & Compliance: Establish, enforce, and monitor safety standards to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the warehouse department and identify areas for improvement.
  • Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Analyze and resolve work-related problems, propose solutions, and contribute to process improvements.
  • Cross-Departmental Support: Collaborate with other departments as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s logistics functions.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports for upper management regarding warehouse activities, productivity, inventory levels, and other critical metrics.
  • Employee Training & Development: Train warehouse staff on company procedures, safety standards, and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associates degree or High School Diploma. Bachelors, preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role, including managing hourly employees.
  • Warehouse Management Knowledge: Strong understanding of warehouse best practices, including inventory control, OSHA regulations, shipping methods, and KPI management.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse employees.
  • Forklift Certification: Must be licensed to operate a forklift (stand-up lift or sit-down).
  • Transportation Knowledge: Familiarity with various transportation modes such as TL, LTL, ocean containers, and bulk shipping.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and warehouse management software (WMS). Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, are a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to author reports and communicate effectively with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex situations and implement solutions.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a warehouse environment.
