Job Title: Structural Design Engineer (Civil Engineering and Structural Steel)

Salary: $77,000 - $100,000

Location: East Dallas, TX

Core Function:

To be responsible for designing all aspects of metal building systems, from structural steel and wall panels to secondary members and stability bracing.

Responsibilities:

• Develop safe, cost-effective, and high-performing structures that meet the specific requirements of each project, adhering to industry codes and standards.
• Use proprietary software to analyze structural elements, including frames, bracing, mezzanines, crane systems, and panels.
• Work closely with the Detailing Department and other key team members to communicate design requirements clearly and efficiently, ensuring smooth project execution and delivery.
• Review and verify Structural drawings for accuracy, ensuring that every design meets both client specifications and internal quality standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Focused education in Structural Engineering.
• Basic understanding of building construction and industry practices.
• Familiarity with building codes and standards.
• Experience in pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) systems is a plus.
