We are seeking a skilled SMT Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced, high-tech electronics manufacturing environment in Suwanee, GA . In this role, you’ll be responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of SMT production equipment. Your expertise will be key to keeping operations running efficiently and minimizing downtime.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT equipment such as pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, screen printers, and AOI systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to component level.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support machine setup and optimize performance.
• Interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics .
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, follow SOPs, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Support production with on-the-spot diagnostics to minimize downtime.
• Assist in training operators and junior technicians as needed.

✅ Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience maintaining SMT equipment (Juki, Panasonic, Fuji, Yamaha, etc.).
• Strong working knowledge of surface mount assembly processes and equipment .
• Proficiency in using test instruments such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume EMS or electronics manufacturing environment preferred.
• IPC certification (A-610 or J-STD-001) a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and occasional weekends if needed.
