Position Title: Set-Up Technician
Wage: $20.00 - $23.00/Hour
Shift: 2nd Shift
Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Set-Up Technician Responsibilities: - Perform mold changes on injection molding machines
- Perform start up process per corresponding set up sheets and blue production folders
- Complete start of shift molding machine check sheet daily
- Perform tasks as assigned on the Mold Machine Checklist
- Set up auxiliary equipment (conveyers, dryers, robots, etc.) to specification
- Provide technical assistance to Production Personnel; research and solve (or assist with) production, setup, and maintenance problems
- Ensure set up and cleaning are done in a manner to allow product to meet quality standards
- Ensure production area is clean and production materials are properly stored
- Assist Mold Technician in processing tooling and maintenance work orders
- Properly tag molds following production to indicate mold status
- Assist in training new employees
- Participate on committees and works on projects
- Provide complete and accurate information to the next shift
- Stop a product or process to correct a quality problem and/or bring to the attention of management
- Maintain safety, including recognize hazards, human or product, and take required action to eliminate them, know and practice safe lifting, bending and pulling/pushing procedures, know the location of material safety data sheets (MSDS) and other appropriate safety devices, know the procedures for fire evacuation, severe weather and power failure, use equipment properly and know the safety features, be familiar with the lockout/tagout procedures, and know location / items available of the first aid station
- Ensure a high level of safety for self and co-workers
- Additional responsibilities as defined in the quality manual, procedures, and work instructions
Requirements for Set-Up Technician: - Pick up 60lbs
- Lift 40lbs overhead
- Push/Pull 100lbs
- Stand for 8 hours
- Walk up to 4 miles a day
- Prefer some background in injection molding
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn
- Be a self-starter and have a high degree of personal discipline
- Team player
- Good math skills
- Ale to read and write in English
