Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a Senior Trust Officer to join its Wilmington, DE office. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (partial work from home). Primary responsibilities include administering discretionary trust and directed trust accounts while remaining current on relevant laws, responding to client requests for wire transfers, discretionary payments, currency transactions, bill paying, deliveries/receives, gifts, contributions, acquisitions, and sales, ensuring transactions comply with trust agreements and state laws, serving as a point of contact for clients and intermediaries with accountants, attorneys, and other trusted advisors, coordinating with the tax department on tax issues during trust administration, reviewing daily overdraft reports and coordinating with Portfolio Managers to cure overdrafts, handling trust terminations in coordination with Trust Counsel, Investment and Tax Departments, overseeing new account opening processes including KYC and compliance documentation, and managing large complex client relationships including trusts, family limited partnerships, GRATs, and foundations. Ideal qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, CTFA and JD preferred but not required, 10+ years of trust administration experience with detailed understanding of Delaware law, experience managing Delaware directed trusts with complex structures, knowledge of personal trust law and administration, preferred international trust administration experience, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and experience working in small teams.
