About the Role

The Company is seeking a President & Chief Medical Officer to serve as the senior executive for a hospital, with a dual role that encompasses both the President and Chief Medical Officer positions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality and safety of patient care, employee and physician engagement, patient experience, process improvement, and operating and financial results. This executive will lead the hospital's strategy in alignment with the broader health system, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include setting and executing for results, leading teams, and fostering relationships and influence both within the organization and with the community. Candidates for this role at The Company should be graduates of a medical school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association, with a license to practice in the State of Rhode Island, and board certification in a relevant specialty. A minimum of 10 years' related experience, including at least 7 years in clinical practice, is required, preferably within a large and complex healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operational excellence, financial growth, and optimizing clinical care delivery. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is experience in physician recruitment, evaluation, and development. The role demands a team-based leader with a strong community presence and a commitment to fostering a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.
