**Job Description :**
**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**
Ensures the placement of patients into beds in accordance with physician service, patient accommodation needs and patient preferences.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Utilizes the EPIC registration demographic to capture metrics necessary for all aspects necessary of bed control. Collaborates as a team-based member to deliver best patient care with physician practices and extended care facilities and the patient transfer notification process. (40%)
+ Utilizes effective communication with all personnel to ensure highest quality in bed control. (40%)
+ Ensures proper procedures regarding all aspects of bed control are followed. (20%)
+ Performs other duties as assigned or required.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
Minimum
+ High school diploma / GED
+ Completion of medical/secretarial transcription program or equivalent
