Responsibilities include mounting, positioning, and adjusting various cutting tools and tooling to make quality parts per drawing specifications and set-up guidelines; setting proper feeds and speeds to ensure consistent quality; programming CNC machinery and designing/formulating programs to produce parts per blueprint specifications; creating and troubleshooting programs and adjusting machine settings as needed; assisting supervisors to meet schedules; assisting team members to ensure quality and smooth workflow; training and instructing other operators; moving stock and material; and operating machinery as specified. Requirements include passing a Machine Set-Up Test, possibly having a tow motor license, and a High School Diploma or GED (for hires after 1997).
