Job Description : Evanston family seeking an attentive and experienced Nanny for their two children! Start February 2025.

Compensation : $28/hr. + vacation, holidays, and PTO.

Schedule : Guaranteed 40 hours a week. Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9:00am-5:00pm.

Job Details and Responsibilities:

• Primary care is for a 2-year-old and a 7-month-old. 2-year-old will be in a morning activity from 9:30-11:30am, starting summer 2025. 7-month-old is at home full-time.
• Responsibilities include all care of the children: meal prep for breakfast/lunch/dinner (puree's and switching to solids when age appropriate), monitoring and facilitating naps, developmentally appropriate play with the children, assisting with milestones, changing diapers.
• Light housekeeping includes tidying and organizing toys, washing children's dishes, kitchen clean-up, and children's laundry.
• Nanny should be well-versed and knowledgeable about creating healthy sleep routines, transitioning to solid foods, and child development.
• One parent is at home during the week and will be potentially starting a new position outside of the home. One parent works day/nights shifts and may be home occasionally. Nanny should be comfortable with this arrangement.
• Family has two large senior dogs. Nanny will let dogs outside in the yard and filling their water bowl as needed.

Qualifications:

• Nanny should have extensive verifiable experience working with infants and toddlers. Should be knowledgeable of infant and toddler care and safety.
• Nanny should be attentive to the children and have a caring/kind demeanor. Will be able to foster a positive relationship with the child and the family and work as a team.
• Nanny should be self-sufficient. Will be able to plan activities and keep track of the child's needs. Nanny should be pro-active about completing tasks.
• Reliable and communicative. Able to communicate well and be receptive to feedback.
• TDAP, COVID, and flu vaccinations are required.
