JOB TITLE :  Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA)
DEPARTMENT : Integrated Health Services
FLSA : Full-Time; Hourly/Non-Exempt
DURATION : OPEN Until Filled
HIRING RANGE : $16.00/hour to $20.00 per hour

POSITION PURPOSE
The Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) will perform clinical duties in outpatient clinical care. In this role, you will assist the provider (Physician/Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) with medical procedures and tests in conjunction with patient visits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Patient triage
• Obtain lab specimens, give injections, draw blood, and perform routine medical tests.
• Provide patient education and make referral appointments.
• Performs light housekeeping chores.
• Perform admin duties such as maintaining patient records, receiving telephone calls, answering inquiries, and/or refers questions to appropriate staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is Preferred.
Current CPR/BLS certification is required.

Certification is required to demonstrate competency in the performance of duties specific to infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Must be knowledgeable of HIV, and Sexual Transmitted Diseases.

SKILLS/ABILITIES : Maintain confidentiality; Good computer skills; Well-organized with good oral and written communication skills.
HIRING RANGE : $16 to $20/hour
