This role is ideal for students majoring in early childhood or elementary education who want hands-on experience while earning extra income. Details: Location: Newport News, VA (in-home care) Dates: Flexible start, runs through mid/late August Schedule: 2-4 days/week, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pay: $15-$18/hour based on experience Children: 1 preschooler and 1 rising 1st grader Responsibilities: Engage in creative play and simple learning activities Prepare lunch/snacks Supervise outdoor play (backyard, walks, nearby park) Keep the kids safe, happy, and entertained Light clean-up after meals and activities Ideal Candidate: Studying Early Childhood or Elementary Education Reliable, upbeat, and patient Prior experience babysitting or working with kids CPR/First Aid certified preferred (or willing to become certified) Has own transportation Why You'll Love It: Our kids are imaginative, funny, and full of personality.
