Job Description

• Holidays: 14 paid holidays per year, 2 of which are floating holidays*
• Vacation leave: 10 days/year with ability to accrue 25 days/year

  Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
  Experience: Two years of experience in jail operation and inmate supervision at a level equivalent to the County's class of Correctional Officer I.
  Training: Completion of twelfth grade, or G.E.D, supplemented by college level coursework in law enforcement or a related field.
  Required License or Certificate:
  
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid driver's license. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
  • Must have completed entry level core training as required by Title 15 of the Corrections Standards Authority and the course work required by State Penal Code Section 832.
