Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children and their families? The Early Childhood Development and Education Center at Kennedy Krieger Institute is looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join our team!

 

We offer a unique opportunity for Clinical Social Workers to gain specialized training in a variety of attachment-based and trauma-informed interventions. As part of our program, you will have the chance to enhance your skills through hands-on experience with evidence-based models such as:

-Circle of Security Parenting (COS-P)

About The Program:

Our Early Childhood Development and Education Center is dedicated to comprehensive, family-centered care for young children experiencing developmental delays, disabilities, or behavioral challenges. We provide a nurturing environment that fosters growth, learning, and social-emotional development. Our interdisciplinary team includes specialists in pediatrics, psychology, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology, all working together to support each child's unique needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive mental health services to children and their families as needed or indicated.
  • Train and provide reflective practice and implement a wide variety of evidence-based care and mental health strategies.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and offer counseling.
  • Facilitate access to community resources and support services.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
  • Advocate for children's well-being and educational needs.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess and maintain a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) license issued by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Board of Social Work Examiners.
  • Must possess and maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.

EDUCATION:

  • Master's degree from an accredited school of Social Work required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of four years of licensed clinical experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults required
  • Minimum one year in the provision of services to children with developmental disabilities, chronic health problems, of disorders of the brain preferred.
  • One year of pediatric and or family therapy experience preferred
Minimum pay range: USD $74,980.00/Yr. Maximum pay range: USD $97,597.00/Yr.
