Job Description

Corcept is leading the way in the research and development of cortisol modulators, molecules that regulate cortisol activity at the glucocorticoid receptor (GR). To date, we have discovered more than 1,000 selective proprietary cortisol modulators.

In 2012, we received FDA approval of Korlym® (mifepristone), the first approved treatment for hypercortisolism (Cushing's syndrome).

Today, our team and collaborators continue to unlock the possibilities of cortisol modulation as a way to treat serious diseases. With more than 30 ongoing studies across a wide range of disease areas, including endocrinology, oncology, metabolism, and neurology, we remain dedicated to advancing the possibilities of cortisol modulation.

What began as a ripple of scientific truth is now poised to unleash a sea change of discovery representing a fundamental shift in the way we understand and treat disease.

Come spend your summer working with passionate colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the fast-growing biotech companies in the Bay Area.

The Regulatory Affairs department at Corcept is committed to ensuring that drug development meets US and international regulatory standards. We also uphold our high ethical and technical standards throughout development, manufacturing, clinical research, and commercial activities.

RA interns are not just introduced to the biopharmaceutical industry, but they are given the opportunity to immerse themselves in the wide-ranging lens of regulation. This experience at Corcept is a stepping-stone toward a career in the life sciences, regulatory compliance, or other complex technical fields, and it's a chance for you to grow and learn in a dynamic and ever-evolving industry.

By contributing to meaningful projects that advance Corcept's mission, you will be part of a team dedicated to unlocking the possibilities of cortisol modulation to revolutionize the treatment of serious diseases. Your work will be of critical importance to Corcept in 2025 as you support regulatory and marketing applications for the approval of new products.

Responsibilities:
  • Projects could include reviewing, organizing, and digesting complex information and documentation supporting regulatory activities for products on the market and new products to be commercialized
  • Contribute to Corcept's preparation for regulatory filings to support new products
  • Shadow RA team members in their work, including attending meetings ranging from simple weekly huddles to high-level strategy sessions
  • Deliver a department presentation at the end of the program
  • Participate as a member of the 2025 intern team group project that includes a company-wide presentation
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of teamwork, innovation, and initiative
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Capacity to quickly identify problems and create solutions
  • Highly effective in communicating in written, verbal, and presentation forms
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Smartsheet
  • Passion for learning and ideally pursuing a career in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries
  • Must be able to complete at least 10 consecutive weeks between June and August and it is a full-time internship (40 hours per week)
  • Must be able to work at our Redwood City office for the duration of the internship, no relocation available
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this headquarters-based position is $25/hr - $31/hr; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
