Our client, a leader in commercial real estate, is seeking a Chief Building Engineer to join their team. As a Chief Building Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the operational excellence of the facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Chief Building Engineer

Location: Tuskegee, AL
Shift: M-F 1st Shift

What's the Job?

• Oversee efficient, safe, and responsible operation of all building systems and equipment.
• Lead the engineering team and provide senior technical support on campus.
• Monitor and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and other mechanical systems.
• Manage inventory of tools and supplies and oversee contractor activities within buildings.
• Respond to emergencies and lead critical after-hour issues and emergency responses.

What's Needed?

• 7+ years of related experience in a similar role (Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, etc.).
• People management experience and strong customer service skills.
• Universal CFC EPA certification is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use ladders up to 30 feet tall.
