Bookkeeper

Islip, NY

Our client is an established, stable business is looking to hire a talented Bookkeeper due to growth of the business. Qualified candidates will have five or more years of applicable bookkeeping/accounting experience. This is a great opportunity to join a company that offers great visibility as you’ll work closely with the owner and other leaders. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary up to $80,000.This is an onsite schedule that will require 5 days in the office. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and a friendly, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities for the Bookkeeper job include:

• Compile and analyze financial data for the company using QuickBooks
• Responsible for bank reconciliations, billing and payroll
• Interact with vendors and clients to produce accurate and timely invoices
• Work closely with benefits providers, specifically payroll and health insurance providers
• Involvement in ad hoc projects as necessary

Qualifications:

• Five or more years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Solid technical aptitude, MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills, this role is diverse and requires someone that can operate independently
