About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key leader in the organization, responsible for the strategic direction and operational delivery of safety and pharmacovigilance activities. This role requires a highly experienced individual with a medical doctor (MD/MBBS/DO) degree and significant global drug safety and pharmacovigilance experience. The VP will be expected to develop and implement a comprehensive safety strategy, integrate safety considerations into business and clinical development plans, and ensure the company's compliance with global regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities for the VP include leading the patient safety and pharmacovigilance function, providing expert guidance, and shaping the global safety strategy to meet organizational needs. The role also involves maintaining expert knowledge of safety and pharmacovigilance requirements, overseeing SAE processing, and ensuring timely and accurate safety reporting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in people leadership, the ability to influence and inspire others, and experience in interacting with regulatory authorities. Additionally, the VP will be expected to drive collaboration, resolve conflicts, and represent the company in safety matters with external stakeholders. The VP of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance at the company will be a visionary leader, dedicated to the mission of delivering safe and effective medicines. They will work closely with the executive team to shape the long-term safety strategy and will be key representatives of the organization in interactions with regulatory agencies and industry consortia.
