Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Occupational Health provides clinical care and health services to employees to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves administering medical care, supporting workplace health and safety programs, and collaborating with teams to promote employee wellness and compliance with health regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Employee Health Services:
  • Perform employee health assessments, screenings, and evaluations.
  • Administer vaccinations, first aid, and emergency care as needed.
  • Monitor and manage employee health records in compliance with regulations.

• Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure workplace compliance with OSHA, CDC, and other regulatory health standards.
  • Participate in workplace inspections and recommend health and safety improvements.
  • Conduct training sessions on health and wellness topics, including injury prevention and emergency response.

• Injury and Illness Management:
  • Evaluate and manage work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Coordinate return-to-work programs and monitor employee recovery progress.
  • Collaborate with case managers and external providers to ensure effective treatment and rehabilitation.

• Health Promotion and Wellness:
  • Develop and implement wellness initiatives to promote healthy lifestyles.
  • Provide health education to employees on topics such as stress management, ergonomics, and chronic disease prevention.
  • Advocate for a culture of health and wellness within the organization.

• Collaboration and Documentation:
  • Work closely with HR, safety teams, and management to align health services with organizational needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records.
  • Prepare reports and metrics on occupational health activities and trends.

• Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) is a plus.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in occupational health, public health, or a related field.
• Knowledge of occupational health standards, workers' compensation, and workplace safety.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
