Focus Staff is seeking a travel Medical Technologist for a travel job in Scarborough, Maine.
Looking to support a small/medium complex laboratory in York, Maine. This should not be a first time director please. Looking for a seasoned leader with phenomenal soft skills. Lab recently had their CAP inspection which allowed for reaccreditation. Concerns about external environment and impact on hospital are causing staff to be wary. Need a strong communicator with a focus on employee engagement while maintaining appropriate levels of quality.
Previous experience, 2 years, in the management of clinical laboratory of an acute care hospital. Previous experience with regulatory and accreditation standards of laboratory operations, preferably CLIA, CAP, and AABB.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of acute care clinical laboratory services. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations. Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude. Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information. Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner.
