Description SynQor is looking for a self-motivated Accountant to join our Finance Department. The Staff Accountant will play an important role in our company's financial operations by contributing to the overall efficient operation of the department. To be qualified for this role, you should have a degree in accounting and relevant experience. Responsibilities: Process, safeguard and apply daily receipts from customers and ensure customer accounts are up to date. Assist with cash management process by maintaining daily cash position report. Perform month-end bank reconciliations. Review and reconcile weekly payroll downloads and generate general journal entries for posting. Download and review expense reports and generate related general entries. Maintain fixed assets database; track CIP activities and perform timely closing of projects. Prepare weekly inventory related reports. Preform reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts. Prepare various financial reports/schedules for management decision making. Assist with the period ending closing and financial reporting process. Assist with other accounting cycles in preparation of supporting document, gathering data and analyzing unusual transactions as well as communicating with various outside and inside organizations. Assist with special projects from time to time as needed. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. Completed Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Corporate Tax, and basic corporate finance courses. Advanced accounting courses are a plus. CPA or CMA exams in planning. Internship or related experience is desirable. Required Skills Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Ability to perform basic accounting research. Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen. Solid knowledge of accounting regulations. Qualities and Characteristics Attention to detail. Excellent time-management. Confidentiality and professionalism.
