Job Summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our finance team! This Staff Accountant position, based in Phoenix, AZ office and reporting to the Controller, is responsible for supporting the Finance Department by performing multiple general accounting and controls functions.

Job Location

  • This position is on site and located at our Superlite Admin Office in Phoenix, AZ.

Job Responsibilities

  • Record both monthly and standard journal entries to the general ledger
  • Ensure timely and accurate month end closing
  • Perform account analysis and reconciliation for both balance sheet and expense G/L accounts
  • Perform financial analysis as requested by the Controller and other management
  • Support AP and AR functions
  • Run daily and month-end reports for management
  • Assist with request related to internal and external audits
  • Ensure internal controls are maintained to safeguard the financial assets of the company
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent in a combination of experience, training, and education
  • Ability to apply logical thinking to gathering and analyzing information
  • Knowledge of accounting software, database software, minimum intermediate Excel spreadsheet and Word software knowledge
  • Must be able to multi-task, be detailed oriented and possess strong organization skills
  • Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with employees at all levels of the organization
