Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available for the current school year on a contract basis. This role supports speech-language services for high school students, providing essential assistance to licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering effective communication therapy.

Location: Quincy, MAKey Responsibilities:

• Assist SLPs in implementing individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
• Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed SLP
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
• Support educational staff by providing strategies to improve student communication within the classroom
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators, families, and therapists to promote student success

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as an SLPA or appropriate experience in a school setting
• Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
• Ability to follow treatment plans and adapt approaches based on student needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of speech and language development and related disorders
