Job Summary

As a Sous Chef, you will support the Executive Chef in leading the culinary operations at our Sony facility. Your responsibilities include overseeing the preparation and cooking of menu items, managing kitchen staff, and assisting in menu development and garnishment. This role involves supervising hourly staff, assisting with inventory and ordering, and is suited for a dynamic culinary professional eager to innovate and drive culinary excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to manage kitchen expenses and budget.
• Assist in menu planning and execution.
• Coordinate and execute catering events.
• Implement new culinary programs in partnership with the marketing and culinary team.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Associate degree in Culinary Arts or related experience.
• Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience.
• Experience in high-volume or complex foodservice operations.
• Knowledge of current food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, and presentation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Experience in catering highly preferred.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.
