As a Platform Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
General Responsibilities:
Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
Evaluate applications to determine packaging needs including compatibility, dependencies and configuration settings
Packages medium / complex applications, creates documentation on all work and authors knowledge documents
Follows standard practices and procedures, ensures quality of all packages produced by carrying out quality checks
Deploy and test applications using various deployment tools (SCCM, Microsoft Intune)
Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity
Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 2+ years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
At least 2+ years of experience with AWS
At least 2+ years of experience in Windows Client & Server OS platforms
At least 2+ years of experience with SCCM & Intune
At least 2+ years of experience with PowerShell
Proficient in application packaging troubleshooting (evaluating log files, remediations etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with AWS
2+ years of experience with Flexera Admin Studio
2+ years of experience in Agile practices

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $127,500 - $145,500 for Senior Platform Engineer
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
