Job Details

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of complex electrical projects in the Greater Twin Cities area. This role requires you to manage project financials, facilitate effective communication, and drive collaboration among internal teams and external stakeholders. You will play a key part in building strong client relationships, leading project teams to meet contractual obligations, and ensuring compliance with industry and company standards. Success in this role calls for attention to detail, precision, and strong communication skills. Primary responsibilities include:
  • Managing all aspects of project financials, including billings, projections, and cash flow accuracy.
  • Supporting the development of change orders and communicating cost and schedule impacts to clients.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Supervising foremen and crews to meet contract terms, agreements, and company policies.
  • Addressing field and office concerns to maintain jobsite morale and client satisfaction.
  • Ensuring projects are completed economically while maintaining quality, industry reputation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Preparing and maintaining project-related files, correspondence, schedules, reports, and billing documentation.
  • Leading project planning, including purchasing, engineering, subcontracting, and installation processes.
  • Assisting with project cost codes, work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules of values (SOVs), and estimating.
  • Identifying project risks and collaborating with leadership to ensure project success.
  • Participating in monthly financial reviews with senior leadership and project stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a project manager in the electrical industry.
  • Strong understanding of materials, methods, and tools in electrical construction.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning, resource allocation, and team leadership.
  • Ability to create specific plans, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with contract documents and the scope of electrical work.
  • Willingness to train and mentor team members.
  • Availability to travel as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Combination of office work and industrial site visits, with exposure to moving machinery, vibration, and noise.
  • May require occasional use of safety equipment, such as hard hats and protective eyewear.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional kneeling, reaching, or lifting up to 25 pounds.
