The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in developing and improving machining and assembly methods in electro-mechanical products and final testing. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will have the opportunity to learn from another experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer who is looking to assist with their replacement before retiring. After that, the new Senior Manufacturing Engineer will serve as technical leader for the team. Client Details Our client is an AS9100 certified aerospace manufacturer located near Addison that supports globally known aerospace brands such as Boeing, Northrup Grumman, Collins Aerospace, and more. They are owned by a larger parent company that oversees an entire aerospace manufacturing portfolio in the U.S with over $1B in annual revenue. Description Key duties and responsibilities include: Leading productivity improvements, automation implementation, and LEAN initiatives. Driving shop floor CI through lean minded process/flow improvements and cross functional kaizen events. Developing and improving processes in a machine shop and assembly environment. Troubleshooting production issues of mechanical and electrical nature. Being involved in capital expenditure discussions Developing automation, optimized methods, special tooling & machine/test stand designs for the purpose of cost reduction, quality & process enhancement Ability to understand electrical schematics and troubleshoot/identify component level issues. Developing requirements for tooling, fixturing, testing and support equipment.
