Quality Technician II

The Quality Technician II is responsible for performing standardized qualitative and quantitative tests on work-in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with company and/or customer quality standards.

Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position working from 6:00pm - 6:00am, on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule . Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required. 

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct organoleptic, analytical, and microbiological tests at various stages of receiving, compounding, and packaging to ensure compliance with standards.
• Approve batches for packaging and perform additional analysis as needed for non-conforming products.
• Calculate batch adjustments as needed for certain products.
• Maintain test results and supporting documentation in SAP.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• File and maintain retained samples.
• Inspect and audit a GMP production environment to assure compliance to quality procedures / protocols.
• Will learn HAACP standards and SAP if no prior experience

• Pay starting at $26.94 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential. The employee will move to a higher rate of $28.41 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

• Associate degree or higher in a Chemistry or Food Science field preferred. This may be substituted with 2+ years of experience in a chemistry laboratory setting
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• HPLC experience is highly preferred
• Drive to learn and solve problems
• Teamwork oriented
• Capable to work independently, prioritize, and manage time
