You are the dynamic, professional Quality and Compliance Specialist we are looking for. You will use your experience and expertise in overseeing Meridian’s Incident Reporting (IR) and Grievance processes.

Quality and Compliance Specialist Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all Incident Reports and Grievances, ensuring all steps in the processes are completed appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct investigations and interviews as needed to gather all necessary and relevant facts
  • Coordinate with management and line staff to gather information, provide education, and ensure proper completion of their responsibilities in the process
  • Complete appropriate and timely reporting to governing bodies as required by law and regulation
  • Coordinate with the Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA) on IR and grievance reporting and investigations, providing timely responses to requests for information
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of follow up action plans as needed
  • Coordinate with HR on resulting personnel matters
  • Remain current on all internal and external reporting regulations and processes
  • Provide regular data reporting on incidents and grievances to management and leadership
  • Coordinate with IT on the use and maintenance of software applications used in the incident reporting and grievance processes
  • Coordinate and/or participate in various standing committees to include, but not limited to, the Hospital QA/PI committee, Hospital Infection Control Committee, Hospital Utilization Review Committee, Center QA/PI Committee, Disaster Emergency Management Team, Infection Control Committee, Clinical Information Management Committee, Compliance Committee, Steering Committees, etc. as assigned.
  • Assist the VP of QRC with Peer Reviews and Root Cause Analysis (RCAs).
  • Lead and/or participate in performance improvement projects, including developing KPI’s, coordinating the implementation of PI plans, and monitoring outcomes.
  • Assist in creating and delivering performance improvement training for employees.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Policies and Procedures
  • Oversee discontinuations of services, including necessary investigation and follow up activities to ensure compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP for QRC

We are seeking Quality and Compliance Specialist candidates with the following qualities:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2y experience in the health care field.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products and assigned software programs required.
  • Valid driver’s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required.
