The Louisiana School For Math, Science, And The Arts Seeks Applicants For The Full-Time Position Of Public Relations And Outreach Specialist. Minimum Qualifications Required: A Bachelor's Degree In Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Or A Related Field; Previous Experience In Public Relations, Media Relations, Or Marketing For A Secondary School, University, Or Other Education-Related Business Or Non-Profit Organization; Strong Understanding Of Best Practices In Public Relations And Marketing; Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills As Well As Presentation Skills; Strong Analytical, Organizational, And Planning Skills; Ability To Maintain A Positive And Professional Attitude Toward Colleagues And Other External Constituencies; Ability To Manage Multiple Projects And Meet Deadlines; Ability To Travel And To Work Flexible Hours As Necessary, Including Evenings And Weekends. Preferred: Three Years Of Experience In Public Relations, Media Relations, Recruiting, Or Marketing For A Secondary School, University, Or Other Education-Related Business Or Non-Profit Organization; Knowledge Of Desktop Publishing And/Or Graphic Design Software.
The Public Relations And Outreach Specialist Manages The Lsmsa Social Media Presence, Creates Content To Promote The School At-Large, And Assists With Outreach Initiatives. The Public Relations And Outreach Specialist Will Be Responsible For Writing, Editing, And Submitting Content For Both Print And Electronic Media; Developing A Unified Brand Voice And Maintaining Brand Integrity Across All Platforms; Working With Students And Staff To Manage And Maintain All Official Lsmsa Social Media Accounts; And Assisting With The Production Of Various Publications For The Department And The Campus At-Large. Additionally, The Public Relations And Outreach Specialist Assists With The Development And Implementation Of Departmental Outreach Programs.
