Every day, more architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and owners specify Wells precast building components for their construction needs and with this continued success, we are looking to hire a motivated self-starting Production Laborer to join our team. The right candidate must be a problem-solver, have strong communication skills, and also be willing and ready to learn.

General Description: Produce high quality Concrete products with a focus on safety and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work with co-workers to strip, set-up and pour the bed in a timely

  • Work with the Quality Control Department to ensure optimal

  • Take direction from their Team Leader and

  • Flexible to perform work in any area including Production, Yard, Patching and other areas as needed.

  • Maintain a safe environment and have good housekeeping skills while

  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing objectives and improves the efficiencies of the

  • Have knowledge of quality programs and be able to perform quality

  • Come to work with a good attitude and work the hours needed to fulfill the job

  • Knowledgeable of day-to-day tasks that are performed and are aware of what the next step is without being

  • Maintain a professional relationship with employees in the plant and

  • Support company policies and have a positive attitude while

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.

  • Must be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

  • General math skills and ability to read tape measure.

  • Ability to work with others to get the project completed efficiently and work independently when needed.

  • Knowledge of products the company uses, and which products would work best.

  • Understand and accept changes that are implemented to become Best in Class.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally.

  • Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently.

  • Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day.

  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequently.

WORKING CONDITIONS:


  • Moderate to high risk of exposure to unusual elements.

  • Moderate to high risk of safety precautions.

  • Moderate to high exposure to production environment.

  • Wet, hot, humid, and wintry conditions (weather related) (plant specific)

  • Ability to work outside year-round (plant specific)
