Job Description
You will create a groundbreaking data science system for our hedge fund, playing a critical role in taking our business to the next level.
We currently use both industry-standard and proprietary tools. Now is the time to create something that goes beyond industry average which is more powerful and flexible than our current proprietary technology.
This is a true greenfield project. You will work with the President and Managing Director to specify functionality for this foundational initiative. You will have a significant say in selecting the right tools for this task: language, libraries, development environment, etc. Your ability to create effective software, combined with your gift for architecture and design, will enable us to create a system that provides advanced functionality, good performance, and most important, extensibility into the future.
You will be integral in bringing up a new system that will ultimately have an impact on facilitating research, developing new strategies, portfolio management, and trading. You can have immediate impact on our firm along with expansive personal development and transformational contributions in the long run. For that reason, starting compensation is high, and the upside is even more promising as your system produces for the team.
We do not require past experience with finance, trading systems, or even private enterprise. Our primary requirement is true world-class software skill. This position requires a PhD and knowledge of computer science. Compensation will be industry-leading for the right candidate.
