*****You must be very physically fit, and able to lift 250 lbs when needed....very similar to the moving business, but not as hard, in that there is not much unloading....at least 1/3 of any day may be drive time.
****Applicants must pass a background check, a complete drug screening, and a motor vehicle screening report (no accidents or serious tickets).....do not apply if you cannot pass these tests....you will not be considered.....we do actually test!
*****If you have a felony or misdemeanor conviction, and it is resolved with time served, and you have proven yourself to be a reformed, productive member of society, then you will be considered (you must disclose this during first interview, by phone or in-person).
This is a small and young, but very successful company (started in February of 2016).
We are a junk removal company, very similar to 800-Got-Junk.
The job requires you to assist with lifting and moving heavy items to the local landfill, such as furniture, appliances, bedding, and general household trash.
This is a "work hard, play hard" type job, which involves some very hard days, in which you might work 8 hours straight, with few breaks; and then there are easy days in which you might have 4 hours of drive time and 4 hours of physical labor.
You must be comfortable with technology (smart phones, GPS, etc....) and have your own transportation.....the ability to drive a work truck and a large utility trailer, including backing experience is a plus.....military experience is a plus.....this business is veteran owned. Must be able to prove an honorable discharge on your DD214 if you're prior military.
Safety gear is provided, including gloves and a dust mask whenever needed.
The job sometimes pays tips when larger jobs are involved, and that might be another $20 to $50 in cash for a full day's work.....paid direct, no tax withholding. Bonuses are paid in cash as well, no withholding......
Work hours are normally between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday - no weekends or Holidays......must be available during all of these times and days....there may be weekend or after hours work occassionally, but it is rare.
Full days and half days may be worked, but never less than 4 hours if scheduled.
Must be 21 years of age, and possess a valid driver's license.
