In partnership with Nike, the biggest brand in sport and fitness apparel, FitLab is launching a new group fitness experience where members build their best selves with the help of world-class coaches, workouts, and community. To bring this incredible opportunity to life, we are currently recruiting passionate and experienced Studio Managers to oversee the sales and operations at our new boutique fitness studios.

The Studio Manager is responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of the business. This position will be tasked with actively pursuing enrollments of new members, obtaining leads, giving studio tours, scheduling classes, establishing and maintaining community relationships, and managing the studio team. This full-time position will report directly to the Director of Studio Operations and Compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Studio Operations

• Oversee daily studio operations and studio team members, including Front Desk, Sales Specialist, Retail, and Facilities Operations.
• Manage and drive studio performance, work strategically to assess and meet all key studios: Lead accusation, Conversion, Sales, Attrition, Retention, Retail, Net Promoter score, Facility Review scores, and make appropriate, informed business decisions.
• Oversee appropriate labor schedules to ensure proper coverage and alignment with budgeted hours.
• Conduct regular inspections of all studio spaces and manage projects to ensure facilities are clean and updated, working with local and corporate leadership on quick execution of facilities initiatives and repairs.
• Maintain a working presence in studios, covering studio management shifts as needed to showcase the best of brand skills and mentor employees as well as other managers.
• Assist with new studio openings such as pre-sale, studio openings, soft openings, and grand openings.
• Follow established departmental policies, procedures, safety protocols, and procedures

2. Team Leadership

• Manage communications with and between supervisors, peers, and subordinates regarding studio needs to ensure that all departments are properly supported and supplied at all times.
• In partnership with the People and Culture (HR) Department and other studio management, recruit, screen, and onboard new employees across the Sales & Operations departments.
• Coach a team of motivated employees, conduct regular performance reviews, and work with the People and Culture (HR) Department to address personnel concerns or issues.
• Partner with the People and Culture (HR) Department to assist with sourcing and hiring new candidates, develop a pipeline of potential talent for long-term growth, and raise engagement from skilled team members

3. Community Marketing and Studio Dynamics

• Partner with the local and corporate marketing teams on ideating and implementing new brand initiatives that positively impact clients and employees.
• Partner with the local and corporate marketing team on a client and corporate acquisition strategy for the studio, adjusting as necessary.
• Work with leadership to create and maintain a unified culture and high staff engagement throughout the studio.

4. Company Culture

• Foster community, inclusivity, and member growth by being a leader both inside and outside of the Studio
• Represent the FitLab's brand within the studio and throughout the local fitness community.
• Participate in enhancing the community with your studio and regional teams.

5. Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to foster, support, and value diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace.
• 3-5 years of fitness management or relevant related experience (hospitality, retail, food/beverage, etc.)
• Must possess financial acumen and the ability to understand, consider, and assess the financial impact of decisions.
• Must be able to work full-time and non-traditional hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to train, lead, motivate, and delegate to a team of employees.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and in a time-sensitive environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with different personality types as well as other departments, vendors, and clients.
• Must possess exceptional written and oral communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Possess a detail-oriented mindset with an eye for customer satisfaction.
• Possess strong negotiation, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven record of dependability and reliability.
• Possess a friendly, outgoing personality and a can-do, optimistic attitude.
• Professional in appearance and behavior at all times.
• Proficiency with computers, tablets, technology, and fitness software
• A background check is required for this position.
