Job Description

We are seeking a full-time nanny for our happy and easy going 2 year old son. We are a growing family and we hope the right candidate will be with our family long term. We are on the west side of Ankeny. Care will be at home. One parent works from home. We have a friendly corgi. The work schedule is Monday through Friday. Hours will be 40-45 per week with any hours over 40 paid as overtime. The role Guaranteed 40 hrs a week. $18-25 an hour based on experience. Start date: Target is 1/20/25 but can be flexible for the right candidate. Responsibilities will focus on child-related tasks to include: Engage & play, ensure safety, make basic lunch/snacks, child's laundry, dishes, play areas, include the dog on walks or in backyard play, help reinforce learning, participate in a communication plan with parents. Qualifications Required: At least 2 years of nanny or daycare experience with infants and toddlers. Required: Ability to provide professional and personal references. Required: Willingness to conduct a drug screen at no cost to the candidate. Required: Willingness to receive a background check at no cost to the candidate. Required: Driver's License and reliable car. Required: CPR Certification Preferred: A candidate who brings experience with Montessori, Waldorf, and/or an early childhood education background and who loves to continue learning and growing in their profession Process: Phone screen --> in person interview --> in home interview --> reference check --> offer.
