The Medical Assistant functions as an important member of the healthcare team by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients’ care, comfort, and safety. The Medical Assistant performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic’s mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Work shift is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with 1 day per week outreach to Wisconsin Rapids Center location. Job qualifications include education and experience requirements such as graduation from a Medical Assistant program or completion of specific courses, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Certified Medical Assistant option requires additional certifications such as CMA, AMT, ARMA, LPN license, or NCCT. The position requires commitment to patient care and compliance with federal program participation rules.
