Job Description

We are seeking a talent Mechanical Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity located in Peachtree City, GA. This is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic project-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed mechanical designs using SolidWorks, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Design and optimize components and assemblies with a focus on sheet metal and stainless-steel fabrication.
Create 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and project management, to ensure designs meet project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Conduct engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection to support design decisions.
Evaluate and implement design modifications to improve functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to ensure product integrity and reliability.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in design tools, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to sheet metal and stainless steel.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in SolidWorks and sheet metal or stainless-steel design.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as cutting, bending, welding, and finishing for sheet metal and stainless steel.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
