Job Description

As part of the dynamic results-oriented corporate marketing group the Marcom Manager, Corporate Marketing will play a strategic and cohesive role within the global team. The primary objective of the Marcom Manager is to develop, manage and drive robust marketing programs. The Marcom Manager collaborates with the content, creative director, external agencies and other cross-functional teams to ensure the message is relevant to the target audience and all initiatives support the strategic pillars.

The Marcom Manager will have a proven track record in building and managing a world-class marketing program, and is responsible for developing, measuring, and optimizing annual marketing plans for the corporate marketing team, worldwide. Reporting to the Marketing Program Senior Manager, the Marcom Manager is responsible for ensuring system alignment and developing an activation strategy; ensures that messaging and communication are consistent with the corporate marketing strategy; proactively distributes new information on an ongoing basis to the Corporate Creative and Content team.

Key Duties
  • Lead marketing programs, managing development and production of marketing materials.
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions and resolve challenges with all or partial information.
  • Engages, inspires and galvanizes the organization around the corporate marketing vision, position and strategies so they are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of expertise
  • Participates in corporate marketing strategy discussions and in target audiences
  • Participate in the development of overall marketing programs that details specific campaigns and activities designed to achieve agreed upon business objectives
  • Working with the Creative Director, to ensure that initiatives are executed in a manner consistent with corporate marketing objectives
  • Manage the brand request email inbox, including evaluating brand requirements, answering questions and responding in a timely manner

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent
  • 5+ years of branding experience in B2B markets and/or marcom/agency experience
  • Proven track record in building a world-class marketing program
  • Experience in effectively leading cross-functional teams and agencies
  • Interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Results oriented and demonstrated creativity through prior work
  • Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of both direct and indirect sales channels
  • Skillful verbal and written communicator
  • Adobe AEM and Asana experience a plus
  • Organized, methodical, strong project manager
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and a team player
  • Travel <5%

  • An employee's pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
