Christian nonprofit organization is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to engage donors and cultivate relationships with current and potential donors to convert those relationships into financial gifts & investments into the mission.

Who we are: We are a Christian nonprofit to train, equip, and mobilize national Christian leaders throughout Europe, Asia and Isreal who are engaging in evangelism, church-planting, holistic ministries, and church growth to transform their countries for Christ. We have initiatives for: Leadership training, Scripture and Christian literature, Children’s ministries, humanitarian outreach, unreached people groups and religious freedom.

Position Overview: The Major Gifts officer engages donors in our work, showing how their joyful financial partnership equips us to accomplish our vision of evangelizing, training, equipping and mobilizing the next generation in transforming various nations for Christ. The Major Gifts Officer is a skilled networker with a fearless approach to identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with donors to convert to financial gifting. This person will raise $750,000 in the first year in the role and increasing 20% each subsequent year.

Responsibilities:

• Secure financial support from current and potential donors who give $5,000 or more each year
• Identify other potential donors
• Manage an active portfolio of 75-100 donors and conduct an average of 20 meaningful interactions with donors each month
• Assist and evaluate programs to recognize, than and educate current and potential donors
• Ensure documentation of donor interactions in CRM
• Support the organization president in donor interactions and follow up as needed

Requirements:

• 25% travel – primarily domestic and some international
• Track record of annual giving from major donors
• Proven ability to effectively develop, nurture and maintain individual relationships and the skill to lead those individuals to make financial decisions
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Experience speaking to high potential clients and donors effectively, intelligently, and passionately
• Must reside in the greater Nashville area or be willing to relocate to the Nashville area
