Job Description :

• Dynamic Litigation firm seeks a Paralegal/legal Assistant from Entry Level - 1 Year of experience
• This firm focused exclusively on litigation, with an exciting and varied practice and with clients ranging from hedge funds to artists
• Legal Assistant/Paralegal Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Answer phones
• Review and proofread legal documents
• Keep cases organized: set-up and organize files; monitor calendars; confirm case status with attorneys
• Assist with litigation tasks: schedule depositions; prepare and oversee subpoenas; prepare and e-file pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents; generate case status reports
• Draft basic emails and correspondence to opposing counsel and other third parties
• Interface with third-party vendors and help attorneys organize document reviews and deposition and trial exhibits
• Organize materials and exhibits for team and client meetings, depositions, and court appearances
• Work on special projects as needed and other administrative tasks
• Conduct non-legal research in support of case and client-related issues

• Willingness to engage substantively with court procedures and legal and factual issues
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize deadlines and commitments
• Experience with Microsoft Office (esp. Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Education – Bachelor’s degree and strong academic credentials

Salary: $65,000-$70,000 DOE. Must be able to start by February 18, 2025, and work full-time on site in NYC.
