Licensed Customs Broker Opportunity - Houston, TX

Are you an experienced Licensed Customs Broker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in operational excellence? Join a leading freight forwarder in Houston, Texas , where your expertise will help shape the company’s customs strategy, compliance framework, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of customs operators, fostering growth and accountability
• Oversee the customs clearance process for air, ocean, and cross-border shipments
• Ensure full compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and PGA requirements (e.g., FDA, DOT, EPA)
• Lead the establishment of a corporate brokerage license, ensuring all operational and compliance requirements are met
• Develop and implement customs compliance policies and procedures
• Conduct audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures
• Collaborate with clients and internal departments to maintain smooth operations and service delivery
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise stakeholders accordingly

Requirements:

• Valid U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certification
• 5+ years of experience in Customs Brokerage and import operations
• Proven experience in setting up a company’s corporate brokerage license
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams
• Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and PGA requirements
• Experience handling a variety of commodities such as steel, alcohol, and general cargo
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
