Billing Specialist – Confidential Law Firm (NYC)
Full-Time | On-Site | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: Midtown Manhattan (near Grand Central)

About the Opportunity:
A well-established, mid-sized law firm is seeking a Billing Specialist to join their collegial and close-knit accounting team in their New York office. In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll support firmwide billing operations and serve as a key resource for billing-related matters across the firm.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare, revise, and finalize monthly pre-bills and client invoices using ProLaw or Elite
• Manage billing for approximately 20+ timekeepers, including attorneys and paralegals
• Troubleshoot and minimize e-billing rejections and resubmissions across client platforms
• Ensure adherence to client billing guidelines and address any exceptions
• Handle attorney inquiries regarding billing, collections, and time entries
• Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of invoices
• Collaborate with attorneys, vendors, and internal team members to maintain seamless operations
• Maintain accurate billing records and implement updates for timekeeper assignments or rates
  
   

What You Bring:

• 3–5+ years of legal billing experience in a law firm setting
• Proficiency in ProLaw or Elite billing systems
• Solid e-billing experience, including resolving rejections and client compliance issues
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Team-oriented attitude with a proactive, dependable approach
• On-site reliability—punctuality and consistent presence during business hours
• Clear, professional communication skills
