Job Description

Acceler8Talent is seeking a Lead Test Development Engineer in Austin, TX for a well-funded Series A ML/AI semiconductor startup to develop and deploy end to-end production testing solutions for Serdes re-driver products.

They are creating optics significantly more dense, scalable and lower power than existing solutions, breaking the I/O wall in data centers and enabling more advanced compute, AI and machine learning.

This role will start remotely until they open a lab later this year in Austin, TX. This candidate will start as an IC but will eventually build their own team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate module-level testing, including:

---> Creating efficient test software solutions.

---> Configuring and managing test hardware setups.

---> Establishing databases to ensure effective traceability and analysis of production data.

• Collaborate closely with design and systems teams to define and implement intelligent, reliable, and scalable module-testing methodologies.
• Drive successful transition of test stations and software into high-volume manufacturing (HVM) environments.
• Support troubleshooting, failure analysis, yield improvement, and ongoing technical enhancements related to testing.
• Assist with silicon characterization, determining optimal manufacturing limits and standards.

Job Requirements

• Demonstrated track record developing robust test hardware and software systems, guiding them from initial design through integration and deployment into high-volume production environments.
• Proficient in creating automated test solutions, including robotic or equipment control, and experienced with database integration.
• Strong, hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities, with a keen analytical mindset.
• 5+ years of relevant experience supporting medium- to high-volume manufacturing of silicon-based products.
• Preferred experience with high-speed analog or RF technologies.
• Experience with Bit Error Rate Testing (BERT) is highly desirable.
