Job Description
We are pleased to announce that we have a survey Instrument Operator position available at Horn, Tyson & Yoder Inc. located in Long Beach Township on L.B.I.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, being a member of the field crew, performing various land surveys (Building Permit Plot Plans, As-Builts, Foundation Locations, Topographic, Title surveys, soundings and more), marking property corners, obtain control, running and maintaining the Total Station and any other survey equipment needed. Good memory skills could come in handy with this job position.
We would prefer someone with experience, but it is not necessary. We will train someone who is not afraid to get wet when it rains or who won't melt in the heat. We just ask that you have the desire to learn and the eagerness to want to be successful, we ask that you move at a pace comparable with your peers and whenever a question arises that you ask it.
The starting salary ranges from $18-$24.00/hr. depending on your experience, if any.
Additionally, at 6 months you acquire 24 paid sick hours and a total of 48 sick hours after 1 year. Also following one year of employment, we offer a 401(k) plan with an employer matching contribution of up to 3% and paid vacation time. Paid Vacation is 40 hours after 1 year. 80 hours after 2 years. 96 hours after 5 years and lastly, 120 hours after 10 years. Plan resets each year on your hire date. We also observe 9 paid holidays a year.
Our regular hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm. Each year, our work hours change to Mon-Thurs 7:00am- 4:30pm with Fridays 8:00am-12:00noon the week of Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day.. **CURRENTLY FOR THIS JOB POSITION OUR FIELD CREW LIKES TO START AT 7:30A.M. INSTEAD OF 8:00A.M., ENDING YOUR DAY BY 4:00PM OR EARLIER** Some weeks you may not work 40 full hours but if you want 40 full hours we can find a lot of other stuff for you to do, learn, etc. We're flexible to a degree.
