Currently, we have a  Junior Mortgage Trader & Analyst opportunity with a leading national mortgage lender committed to providing an exceptional, low-stress experience and on-time closings. The Junior Mortgage Trader & Analyst is a hybrid role and is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:
Trading Support:

• Assist senior traders in daily pipeline hedging and trade execution across TBA and specified pools.
• Monitor market movements and update pricing grids accordingly.
• Support best-execution analysis across agencies, aggregators, and co-issue outlets.

Analytics & Reporting:

• Analyze pipeline position, fallout trends, and pull-through rates to support hedge management.
• Help Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on P&L, pricing performance, and execution efficiency.
• Identify and track performance metrics across loan products, branches, and investors.

Operational Support:

• Upload GNMA loans and complete edits.
• Work with lock desk and post-close teams to ensure accurate loan delivery and investor settlement.
• Help troubleshoot pricing or hedging discrepancies within LOS and PPE tools.

Specific qualifications for the position include : 

• 1–3 years of experience in mortgage banking, trading, or capital markets preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.); Python is a plus. 
• Familiarity with mortgage systems such as Encompass, Optimal Blue, or MCT is a plus.
• Motivated and detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of mortgage products.
• Ability to work independently, handle time-sensitive tasks, and communicate effectively across teams.

Pay Rate Range : $75k - $90k annually

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
