Our client is looking to hire a Injection Molding Machine Operator for their facility in Jacksonville. This position offers the chance to become part of an international manufacturing company as they expand their operations within the United States.

***The start date for this position is December 1st***

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for a skilled Injection Molding Machine Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality molded plastic products. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and ensure efficient production.

Experience with Absolute Haitian Machine preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines according to production specifications.
  • Production Monitoring: Inspect molded parts for quality, ensuring they meet company and customer standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, including adjustments to machine parameters for quality improvement.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks and measurements of parts and adjust machine settings to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Material Handling: Load raw materials and monitor inventory levels of production materials and supplies.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and work areas to ensure safe operation and compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate production and quality records, including tracking output and downtime.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow company safety protocols, including lockout/tag-out procedures, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating injection molding machines, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of machine mechanics and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to inspect products for defects and maintain high quality standards.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with team members.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move materials as needed, and work in a production environment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify and address production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency with basic computer operations for documentation and data entry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification: Injection molding or machine operator certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with automated injection molding systems and advanced troubleshooting techniques.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:
