Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance & Repair Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of manufacturing equipment, including those used in chemical applications, to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment according to established schedules.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce the risk of equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with production staff to identify and address equipment-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Repair and maintain equipment used for chemical applications, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve equipment performance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with equipment used in chemical applications is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include eye protection, hearing protection,

gloves, protective suits, dusts masks and respirators

• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or

crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift

and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Employees must be able to work a 10-hour shift or more in one work day including planned and

unplanned overtime

• Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions

  • This role requires annual HAZWASTE training
  • This role requires basic understanding of and ability to use computers/tablets, etc.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., noise, heat, cold).
