Island Helicopters Kauai, Inc. is seeking an exceptional and experienced Helicopter Tour Pilot to provide the highest quality tours on the island of Kauai. Qualified applicants interested in providing tours of Kauai in doors-on, Airbus AS 350 (AStar) aircraft out of the Lihue Airport Heliport, are encouraged to apply.

Providing deluxe helicopter tours from the Lihue Airport for 40+ years, Island Helicopters Kauai, Inc. is the only company that is permitted to offer guests the unique opportunity of landing at Hawaii's most famous waterfall, Jurassic Falls . Island Helicopters is a FAA Part 135 operator and is locally owned and operated. Since 1980, Island Helicopters has specialized in providing personalized tours for the independent traveler, families, and groups of all sizes. Office hours are typically 7:00am - 5:30pm seven days a week with operations headquarters, maintenance facility, guest check-in, retail outlet, and helipads, all on-site at the Lihue Airport on the island of Kauai.

Job Requirements

Helicopter Tour Pilot Position Requirements:

• Required helicopter flight hours may vary depending on experience
• Possess good knowledge of FAA Part 135 FAR’s
• Must have a valid Commercial Helicopter License
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Must currently live on, or be able to relocate to, the island of Kauai
• Have exceptional communication skills and provide outstanding guest experience
• Speak with others using clear and professional language
• Able to communicate well with operations and maintenance team members
• Comply with FAA and Island Helicopters’ policies, procedures, expectations and regulations
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
• Drug test and background check required
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
