About the Position We are seeking an entrepreneurial, senior professional to lead capital formation for our growing real estate debt platform, with a focus on mezzanine and subordinate financing strategies. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in originating and deepening relationships with Endowments & Foundations (E&F), Family Offices, and Outsourced Chief Investment Officers (OCIOs), with the goal of significantly expanding our institutional AUM. This player-coach role also involves building and leading a lean, high-performing sales and client service team focused on real estate credit solutions. Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic capital raising plan to grow institutional assets across E&F, Family Office, and OCIO channels, specifically for real estate debt strategies. Cultivate and manage direct relationships with sophisticated allocators and capital partners, with limited reliance on consultants. Lead a team of distribution and client service professionals, fostering a performance-oriented culture through clear goal setting, accountability, and mentorship. Represent the firm in investor meetings, due diligence sessions, and industry conferences, delivering a compelling narrative around our mezzanine and structured finance offerings. Work closely with investment professionals to incorporate market and allocator feedback into marketing collateral and product positioning. Oversee a disciplined pipeline management process using CRM tools to track investor activity, pipeline status, and fundraising progress. Requirements 15+ years of institutional capital raising experience, preferably with a focus on real estate credit, mezzanine debt, or structured finance strategies. Proven track record of raising meaningful capital from E&F, Family Offices, and/or OCIOs, with deep allocator relationships. Strong understanding of real estate capital markets and debt structures, particularly subordinated and transitional capital products. Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and mentoring a small team of sales and client service professionals. Ability to effectively articulate a credit investment thesis to sophisticated investors. Fluency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), with a data-driven approach to pipeline and relationship management.
