Job Description
BIG TWIG is seeking Log Truck Drivers, Forestry Workers, Arborists, and Equipment Operators for multiple roles.
We have seasonal and full time opportunities available in Belgrade, MT and Big Sky, MT.
We typically work up to 2 hours away from our base. Some careers at this company will require further travel which will be clearly discussed.
Winter work may include snow removal in a Kubota tractor with enclosed cab. Winter tree pruning, tree removal along Right-of-Ways and Residential properties, or mastication of trees. A Class A CDL is a huge plus.
Forestry work may consist of hand falling trees, piling and burning, operating masticators/mulchers (boom mounted and strip mulcher), and logging.
Logging activities primarily include yarder based skyline logging with tree and equipment rigging, and setting chokers. Skyline Logging work is performed on steep slopes in austere environments.
Spring to Fall general tree work may consist of climbing and pruning/removing trees with manual rigging or the use of a crane or spider lift. We have several tracked loaders and grapple trucks to maximize efficiency and reduce wear and tear of the body. We expect our team to conduct work in a professional manner consistent with ANSI standards, wear all PPE, and have a good attitude.
Pesticide technicians will be needed in Spring 2025 to assist with plant health care, and forest pest control. These positions may be seasonal or full time.
Our team consists of driven professionals with a high standard of work.
We typically work 40-55 hours per week, year round.
Requirements and pay will depend on career position and experience.
Health insurance paid after 90 days for full time employees.
